Can I Rent Multiple Boats at Once from the Same Rental Company in Mykonos?

Organizing a pick-up from the ferry port can be a complicated process. Even if you manage to arrange it, you will likely be collected from the ferry itself. The easiest way to get around is to take a Welcome Pickup (car rental) to the airport and then rent a car from there. Mykonos has a decent public transport system for an island, but you may find it more convenient to rent a car or motorbike.

During peak season, rental companies in popular destinations such as Santorini and Mykonos may have limited availability. If you want to explore areas outside of Mykonos City, renting a car is the best way to do so. You can take a bus, taxi or Welcome Pickups to Mykonos City or the airport and pick up your rental car there. The cost of renting a car is determined by supply and demand, as well as the length of the rental period, whether it is a one-way rental, and whether it is a manual car. Most Greek rental companies only offer rentals to people between the ages of 21 and 70, although there are some exceptions.

If you plan on spending your days by the pool and then walking or taking the bus to dinner, you can easily get by without renting a car in Mykonos. Island-hopping is also easy from Mykonos; you can book a private boat, yacht rental or sailing rental and enjoy cruising between the Cycladic islands. If you don't want to rent a car, you can stay in Mykonos City, Ornos or Platis Gialos. All of these locations are well connected by bus (or water taxi) and within walking distance of many great restaurants in Mykonos. To see more in one day, it's best to rent a private boat to go from Mykonos to Santorini; this way you can travel at a faster pace and make stops at different Cycladic islands along the way.

Additionally, some islands also have car rental companies where you can rent off-road vehicles.
